Alaska Powell and Cumming Geothermometry Analyses

This resource is a compilation of a specific suite of aqueous chemistry for Alaska thermal groundwater, tailored for use in the geothermometry model formulated by Powell and Cumming, 2010. Analytes reported can be directly input into their model, which displays ternary diagrams to interpret potential source and temperatures of thermal waters based on chemistry and other parameters. The data are available in the following formats: web feature service, web map service, ESRI MapServer, and an Excel workbook for download. The workbook contains 4 worksheets, including information about the template with notes related to revisions of the template, resource provider information, the data and a field list (to assist data mapping). This resource was provided by the Alaska Division of Geological and Geophysical Surveys and made available for distribution through the National Geothermal Data System.
